Climate

Alta Badia enjoys a typical Alpine microclimate. With a mild summer involving 18/20°C during the day and 10°C at night, a mild September, followed by a cool autumn. The first snowfalls in November herald the arrival of winter. Winter in Alta Badia is long and generally brings a lot of snowfall with it. From December to February an average temperature of below zero, down to -20°C is recorded at night. The temperature differences between night and day are quite marked. The dry cold is balanced out by splendid sunny days: from December to March there are nearly 100 days of sunshine.
In summer, the hottest month is July, while after mid August the climate gets cooler and September, with its mild, clear days, is known as ‘hikers’ month’.
